“I called ESTEEM in complete desperation. I’m a single Dad (11 years) and my 18 year old son was constantly blasting out his music and smoking pot in our 2 bedroom council flat. I was getting lots of complaints from the private flat upstairs and the stress of all this made me so ill (I.B.S) I was admitted to hospital several times. The more I told my son and his mates to keep it down, the more aggressive he got. He started beating me up. I had some very nasty head injuries.
I learned from ESTEEM how to deal with the violence and from then on things started to improve quite quickly.
The 24 hour helpline was crucial in this very difficult and upsetting time. I’m so grateful to ESTEEM for the excellent support and would recommend them to anyone with domestic troubles.”
